Congratulations to Dr Marta Koro (Dannevirke GP & Tararua RMIP Coordinator for University of Otago) who was one of the recipients receiving her Community Services Medal at the recent GP24 conference.

The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners Community Service Medal recognises members who have made outstanding contributions to general practice and rural hospital medicine through work in their communities.
Dr Marta Kroo received the Community Services Medal for her longstanding commitment to and care of the Dannevirke Community. Marta has been a highly valued member of the RMIP team for over 14 years in her role as Tararua Coordinator. Her dedication to her students has been as outstanding as that to her community. Marta is retiring from RMIP at the end of 2025 and we will miss her terribly, but we are grateful for so many years of her teaching, care and support.
