Help shape point-of-care testing in Aotearoa New Zealand

Seeking rural GPs and urgent care clinicians to take part in a national study

2026-07-14

The University of Otago Centre for Rural Health, in partnership with Health NZ, is conducting a national study to identify priority point-of-care tests (POCTs) for general practice and urgent care.

We are inviting GPs and urgent care clinicians to contribute their expertise.

What’s involved:

  • 2-3 short online surveys over ~2 months
  • Round 1 open now (closes 16 August)
  • ~15 minutes for the first survey (later rounds shorter)

Your input will help ensure recommendations reflect real-world clinical needs and support better acute care decision-making.
